Richard Creer is a professional database developer and amateur yachtsman, racing big boats for many years without unduly troubling the engraver. He has been involved with dinghy race management both on and off the water including the Laser World Masters, RYA Youth Nationals and multiple Fed Weeks. As a founder member of the Sailing Software Alliance Richard has strong connections with all the major providers of computer software for leisure sailing. He is also the inventor of DutyMan, the widely used duty management service for sailing clubs, with which SailEvent shares a web server and much of its technology.
